# From Prompt to Live Funnel: Automating Lead Gen with Hermes & LanderLab

Launching one lead gen test usually means five open tabs. The page builder, the tracker, the CRM, the notification tool, and a note where you keep the tracking code you just copied.

This run took a different route. One message went to an AI agent on Telegram. It asked for two landing pages for dental implant leads, built as A/B variants, with ClickFlare tracking already on them.

18 minutes later, both pages were ready. This guide walks through that process with **Hermes Agent** and LanderLab: the prompts, what came back, and what still needed a manual check.

Here is the whole flow in short:

1. Run Hermes Agent on a server and talk to it through Telegram.
2. Connect it to the LanderLab and ClickFlare MCP servers, so it can act inside both accounts.
3. Send one prompt that asks for two page variants, a conversion focus and tracking code.
4. Review both variants and confirm the ClickFlare code is on each one.
5. Build a LanderLab workflow that sends every new lead to Telegram, then submit a test lead.

## What Hermes Agent Is and Why It Fits Media Buying

Hermes Agent is a free, open-source AI agent from [Nous Research](https://github.com/nousresearch/hermes-agent), released under the MIT license. You install it yourself, choose the AI models it runs on, and chat with it from the terminal or from apps like Telegram, Slack, Discord and WhatsApp.

The useful part for repeat work is the learning loop. According to the [Hermes documentation](https://hermes-agent.nousresearch.com/docs/), the agent creates skills from experience, improves them as it uses them, and remembers across sessions. The more you use it, the better it knows your process.

It also supports MCP ([Model Context Protocol](https://modelcontextprotocol.io)), an open standard that lets an AI assistant use real software instead of guessing. LanderLab runs its own [MCP server](https://landerlab.io/mcp), and so does ClickFlare. Connect both, and one chat can build a page and set up its tracking.

### **Pick the Model by Budget, Not by Benchmark**

Hermes can run on several models, and the best one does not have to be your default. This setup uses three.

Claude Opus 4.8 through the API gives the best results and costs the most, because every token is billed. Codex 5.5 runs through a subscription login instead, so the price is fixed each month. A $100 plan covered all the work here, which made it the main model.

Grok is the cheap option, and it handles landing pages and images well. It is also faster than routing a build through Claude Code, which is why this particular run took 18 minutes.

Say you run an AI agent for lead generation across many small builds a week. Then "good enough at a fixed price" usually beats "best at an unknown price".

## Warm-Up: Turning a One-Page Clinic Site Into a Full Website

Before the funnel, the agent rebuilt the website of a small dental clinic. The old site was a single page in Italian. The goal was more pages that could rank on Google, plus an English version.

The agent got one prompt:

> Based on the clinic's old website on LanderLab, which is a one page, create a full website instead and make it modern. Make sure you first research keywords to rank on Google for this site using the Ahrefs MCP. Based on the keywords add relevant content to the website.

> Make sure the content is both in English and Italian. For images use from the old website. If new ones need to be generated use Grok just for image generation. Once finished, upload to the clinic's domain on LanderLab and send me the link to double check it.

The agent worked for close to an hour. It kept the original header and added a separate page for each service, around 12 of them, plus pages for the clinic and the team. In a small city with little competition, good content on those pages can be enough to rank.

The reviews on the new site are real. The agent pulled them from a doctor review website, which gives the clinic genuine [social proof on the page](https://landerlab.io/blog/social-proof-examples) instead of made-up quotes.

It also added a WhatsApp booking button, a lead form on every page, and a widget that shows if the clinic is open right now. Form leads go straight into LanderLab's built-in lead management.

## Step 1: Send One Prompt for Two Landing Page Variants

A website brings organic visitors. Paid traffic needs a page built for one offer, which is the core difference between a [landing page and a website](https://landerlab.io/blog/landing-page-vs-website). So the next job was two lead gen pages for dental implants.

Here is the prompt sent to the agent on Telegram:

> I want to create two landing pages for collecting dental implant leads for the clinic. Try two completely different designs / angles. I will AB test those two. Copy should be in English. They should be created as variants in LanderLab.

> Both need to be optimized for maximizing collected leads. Use all the CRO tricks you know. Finally, using the ClickFlare MCP, put the ClickFlare tracking code on both. Send me the links when ready.

Three lines in that prompt do most of the work. "Two completely different designs / angles" stops the agent from making the same page twice. "Variants in LanderLab" puts both pages under one lander, so traffic rotates between them automatically.

The ClickFlare line removes the most tedious manual step of the launch. And "CRO tricks" (conversion rate optimization) means the usual levers: the form at the top, countdown timers, social proof and so on.

*The brief lands in Telegram and the agent immediately loads the skills it needs — landerlab-mcp-site-building and tracker-mcp-operations.*

Expect to wait. The agent handed the build to Claude Code in the terminal, which is much slower than a model like Grok. This run took 18 minutes.

## Step 2: Review Both Variants Before Anything Else

The agent came back with two angles. One is premium and calm. The other is direct response and leans on fear.

### Variant A: Calm and Premium

Variant A looks like a professional clinic page. A [lead generation quiz](https://landerlab.io/blog/lead-generation-quizzes) sits at the top, with short copy next to it that gives the visitor a reason to start.

Resizing the browser was the first check. The quiz stayed at the top of the screen on the mobile view, which is the part that matters most on a phone.

*Variant A: the calm, premium angle, with the 60-second assessment quiz sitting above the fold.*

### Variant B: Dark and Direct

Variant B, named "Risk Quiz" in LanderLab, uses a black background and high-contrast colors. The copy focuses on the risks of waiting. The agent even redrew the clinic logo so it would work on a dark background.

Two very different pages is the point. A test between near-identical pages teaches you little. A test between a calm promise and a risk message tells you what this audience responds to.

*Variant B, the Risk Quiz: black background, orange CTA and a logo the agent redrew so it would read on dark.*

## Step 3: Confirm the ClickFlare Tracking Code Is Live

Most media buyers do this step by hand. Create the lander in ClickFlare, copy the tracking code, paste it into the page, then repeat for every variant. It is slow, and one missed paste means a variant with no data.

Here, Hermes Agent used the [ClickFlare MCP](https://help.clickflare.io/en/advanced-features/click-flare-ai-integration-mcp) to get the tracking code and place it on both pages. Opening each variant confirmed the code was in place. Nobody had to log in to ClickFlare.

![ClickFlare tracking script found in the page source of a LanderLab variant](https://landerlab.io/_emdash/api/media/file/01M321ZVTJHD9BPPHQ482KCJZ3.01M321ZW4G8XJ665YY33E7MY53.webp)

*Searching the page source for "clickf" confirms the ClickFlare script the agent injected. Nobody logged in to ClickFlare to get it.*

In LanderLab, both variants sat under the same lander, Variant A and Variant B (Risk Quiz), with traffic split 50/50. For more on reading results by variant, see this guide to [A/B testing with ClickFlare](https://landerlab.io/blog/a-b-testing-with-voluum-redtrack-and-clickflare).

## Step 4: Route Every Lead to Telegram With a Workflow

The last piece makes sure no lead gets missed. This part was built by hand in LanderLab [Workflows](https://docs.landerlab.io/features/workflows/getting-started), which run automatically each time a new lead comes in.

1. Open **Workflows** and create a new one, for example dental-implants-notification.
2. Add the entry node, a trigger that fires when a lead is received, and select the dental implants landing page.
3. Add a **Telegram notification** node and pick the Telegram connection you set up earlier.
4. Paste the Chat ID, which tells the bot where to send messages.
5. Save and publish the workflow.

No Telegram bot yet? The [Telegram integration guide](https://docs.landerlab.io/integrations/crm/telegram) shows how to create one with BotFather and find the Chat ID for a personal chat, a group or a channel.

*The workflow is two nodes: a Lead trigger, and a Telegram action pointed at a Chat ID.*

## Step 5: Submit a Test Lead and Check Every Stop

Never launch on trust. Open the page, go through the quiz and submit a test lead with your own details.

Three things confirmed the setup worked:

- The thank-you screen loaded, with a second call to action to message the clinic on WhatsApp.
- The lead showed up under **Leads** in LanderLab seconds later, with the page URL and the variant ID, so you know which page produced it.
- The Telegram message arrived with the same details, and the test appeared in the workflow's run history.

## Mistakes to Avoid When an AI Agent Builds Your Funnel

- **Skipping the review.** The agent did good work here, but both pages still needed a manual look at mobile and at the tracking code. Keep that habit.
- **Using scraped reviews without asking.** Real reviews beat invented ones. But copying content from another platform can break its terms of use, so check them and get the client's approval first.
- **Adding fake urgency.** Countdown timers were on the list of CRO tricks. On a medical offer, only use a timer tied to a real deadline, and read your traffic source's healthcare ad policy before running a fear angle.
- **Paying top price for every task.** Match the model to the job. A fixed subscription for daily work, the per-token model for the hard parts.
- **Testing two versions of one idea.** Ask the agent for different angles, not different button colors.

## FAQ

### What is Hermes Agent?

Hermes Agent is a free, open-source AI agent built by Nous Research. You run it on your own computer or server, connect the AI models you want, and talk to it from the terminal or apps like Telegram. It saves skills and memories, so it learns your processes over time.

### Do I need to write code to connect Hermes Agent to LanderLab?

No. Hermes supports MCP, so you add the LanderLab MCP server once during setup. After that, you describe what you want in plain English, and the agent picks the right LanderLab tools to build, publish or test your pages.

### Which LanderLab plans include MCP access?

MCP and API access is included on the Grow, Scale and Enterprise plans. You can create a LanderLab account and build pages for free, then upgrade when you want to connect an agent.

### How long does the agent take to build two landing pages?

In this run it took 18 minutes, because the agent used Claude Code in the terminal. A faster model like Grok can finish sooner. The full multi-page clinic website took close to an hour.

### Can LanderLab send new leads to Telegram?

Yes. You can add Telegram as an integration on a landing page, or send leads there from a workflow as shown in this guide. Either way, you need a Telegram bot token and the Chat ID where messages should go.

Start small. Connect Hermes Agent to LanderLab, ask for two variants of a page you already run, and check the tracking code before you send a single click.

From there, the same agent can create the ClickFlare campaign and analyze the data once traffic is running.
