Google Sheets integration

Exporting leads at the end of the day means the sheet is always behind and someone always asks for the latest file. With Google Sheets connected, every lead is a new row the moment the form is sent.

  • Built-in integration
  • Landing pages, Quiz funnels, Workflows (beta)

Why connect it

Why Google Sheets and LanderLab

  • A live lead log, no exports

Each submit is a row moments after the form is sent. Nobody downloads a CSV, nobody pastes yesterday's leads into a master file, and the sheet is never a day behind the ads.

  • Campaign, click and variant on every row

Hidden fields capture utm_campaign, gclid or fbclid from the ad's URL, and LanderLab adds the page URL, the submit time and the A/B variant. Every row says where the lead came from.

  • Share leads without sharing your stack

Clients and buyers open a Google Sheet they already know. They don't need a login to your tracker, your CRM or LanderLab to see the leads they paid for.

  • No Zapier task bill

LanderLab writes the row itself. There's no Zap in the middle to pay for per task, and nothing to break when someone renames a step.

  • Only the files you choose

Google access covers the spreadsheets you select in the picker, nothing else in your Drive.

Google Sheets on your landing pages

A spreadsheet is still the fastest lead log there is. Everyone on the team can open it, filter it and add a column, and nobody needs a CRM seat to read it. LanderLab writes each submit from a landing page or quiz funnel as a new row in the spreadsheet and tab you pick, so the sheet stays current without anyone exporting anything.

For people buying traffic, that sheet becomes a live record of what the ads produced: which campaign, which variant, which click, at what time. A media buyer reads lead volume by ad set before lunch, an agency's client watches their own leads arrive, and a local office calls down the new rows each morning.

You sign in with Google once, the connection is saved to your LanderLab account, and you switch it on per page. LanderLab only gets access to the files you pick, not your whole Drive.

A new row in Google Sheets for every lead

Every submit on the page adds a row to the tab you chose, with each answer in the column you matched it to, or in a new column LanderLab creates from the field's name. Next to the form fields you can write the page URL, the visitor's IP address and user agent, the submit time in UTC and the A/B variant they saw.

The Google account stays connected to your LanderLab account, so the next page only needs a sheet and a mapping. Launching ten landing pages for ten geos doesn't mean ten logins.

Cost per lead by ad set, in the same file

Because utm_campaign and the click ID arrive on every row, a pivot table or a COUNTIFS on the Campaign column gives you leads per ad set for any date range. Paste the day's spend next to it and the sheet shows cost per lead by campaign without waiting for a dashboard to refresh.

Add LL Variant ID and the same pivot splits leads by variant, so a split test is read on leads by the hour, not on a report you pull at the end of the week.

A lead log your client can read

If you run traffic for a client or sell leads to a buyer, share the sheet with them. They watch leads arrive in a tool they already use, without a login to your tracker, your CRM or LanderLab. And when the month's count is questioned, both sides are reading the same rows and the same timestamps.

Only the leads each sheet should see

One client wants Florida leads, another wants only homeowners. Workflows (beta) has a Google Sheets node, so a Filter or If node can decide which leads reach which sheet, and the Runs view shows the path every lead took.

Every lead is also kept in LanderLab's Leads tab, filterable by date and variant (CSV export on Grow and up), so the sheet is a working copy, not your only copy.

Use cases

Ways to use Google Sheets on paid traffic

  • 01

Lead count per ad set, before noon

A media buyer running Google and Meta to an HVAC quote page in Tampa keeps one tab per campaign. A pivot on Campaign and Variant shows by noon which ad sets and which variant are producing leads, and the losers are paused before the afternoon spend.

  • 02

    The client's own lead log

An agency shares a read-only sheet with each client. The client sees every lead the moment it arrives, with the campaign on the row, and the monthly invoice is checked against rows both sides can see.

  • 03

A call list for a local office

A roofing or pest control office adds a Status column next to the mapped ones and calls down the new rows each morning. No CRM to learn and nothing to export.

Google Sheets integration FAQ

Google Sheets and LanderLab

When is Google Sheets worth connecting to my landing pages?

When your team, client or buyer works from a spreadsheet: every lead lands as a row in real time, with its campaign and variant, and nobody has to export anything.

Do I need Zapier to send landing page leads to Google Sheets?

No. LanderLab writes the row itself, so there's no Zap to pay for or to break.

Can I send quiz answers to Google Sheets?

Yes. Every quiz answer is a field, so each one can have its own column.

Will my UTMs and click IDs show up in the sheet?

Yes, when the page has hidden fields named like the parameters (utm_campaign, gclid, fbclid). They fill from the ad's URL and land in their own columns.

Can LanderLab see my whole Google Drive?

No. Access is limited to the files you select.

Can the same lead go to a sheet and a CRM?

Yes, on Launch and up: one submit can go to Google Sheets and to the other tools switched on for the page, each with its own field mapping. The Free plan has one lead integration.
