Why search clicks leak
Search clicks go to waste on a generic page.
Give every ad group its own PPC landing page, keep the gclid on the lead and test pages without changing a final URL.
The old way
- “Every keyword lands on the homepage, menu and all.”
- “New ad group, new dev ticket for a page.”
- “Which keyword sold? The CRM lost the gclid.”
- “Testing a page means a new final URL in every ad.”
The LanderLab way
- “Each ad group gets a landing page written for its ads.”
- “Duplicate, Replace Texts on the headline, publish.”
- “The gclid, keyword and match type are on the lead.”
- “Variants share the final URL. The ads don't change.”
Ad groups to pages
Your campaign, one page per ad group.
Pick an ad group to see the ad it runs and the page it sends to. A new ad group is a duplicate of the closest page with its headline swapped, not a new build.
Movers, Search, USSearch campaign · final URLs on lp.yourdomain.com
Keywords in match-type notation: [exact], "phrase", broad.
The picked ad group's ad, and the landing page its final URL opens on lp.yourdomain.com.
Custom domain
Publish on a subdomain of the site in your ads. Google disapproves ads whose display URL domain doesn't match the final URL.
Disable Indexing
Disable Indexing puts a noindex tag on every page of a domain you use only for paid traffic, duplicates and all.
Global Scripts
Paste the Google tag and the UET tag in the domain's Global Scripts and every page on it carries them.
01Qualify
Quiz funnels
Broad match brings in browsers. A two- or three-step quiz asks the move size, ZIP and date first, so your sales team only calls real moves.
- Conditional logic sends each answer to the right next step
- Phone and SMS code checks before the contact step
- Every answer saved with the lead and its keyword
02Test
A/B testing
Add a variant to the ad group's landing page and set the weights. Both share one final URL, so nothing changes in Google Ads or Microsoft Ads.

Keep the gclid from the click to the signed contract.
Form fills are cheap signals. Sales are the ones worth bidding on, and the gclid on the lead is what lets you send them back.
01Google Ads
The click carries it.
With auto-tagging on, every click lands with a gclid in the URL. Microsoft Ads adds an msclkid the same way.
02LanderLab
The page saves it with the lead.
Hidden fields named gclid, keyword and matchtype read the URL and keep the values on the lead, with the page and the variant.
03LanderLab
Your CRM gets it.
Map the fields once and every lead reaches HubSpot, GoHighLevel, a Google Sheet or your webhook with its click ID.
04Your CRM
The sale goes back to the ad platform.
When the job is booked, your CRM imports it to Google Ads by gclid. Microsoft Ads takes it by msclkid within 90 days of the click.
LanderLab can upload each lead to a Google Ads conversion action itself, by gclid. The sale goes back from your CRM, which knows when the job is booked.
The math
What a better page is worth at your CPC.
Same budget, same clicks. Put in your spend, your cost per click and today's conversion rate, and see what a lift from a closer-matched page adds each month.
“Solid product. Easy to build landing pages that loads fast.”
Tags and destinations
Your analytics, your CRM, your sheet.
The lead goes where your team works, with the gclid, keyword and match type mapped to fields of their own.

Before you start
Can the page show the keyword someone searched?
In a quiz, yes, from the second step on. Add a Hidden Field named after your URL parameter (say keyword, filled by {keyword} in your final URL suffix), and it becomes a {{keyword}} variable you can use in a later step's text. On the page itself, tokens fill the visitor's city, region, ZIP, device and the date. For headline match, the usual way is a page per ad group: duplicate the closest landing page and swap the headline with Replace Texts. Note that Google's {keyword} is the keyword in your account, not the search term, and it comes through blank for keywordless matches such as AI Max, DSA and Performance Max.
How do I keep the gclid?
Turn on auto-tagging in Google Ads and add a Hidden Field named gclid to the page's form or quiz. LanderLab reads it from the URL and saves it with the lead, along with any other parameter you pass, such as keyword, matchtype or campaignid. Add msclkid the same way for Microsoft Ads, then map the fields in HubSpot, your sheet or your webhook.
Can I send closed deals back to Google Ads?
Yes, as offline conversions by gclid. Connect your Google account and LanderLab uploads each lead to a conversion action in your Google Ads account, with names, emails and phone numbers hashed. The closed deal, booked later, goes back from your CRM the same way. Microsoft Ads takes offline conversions by msclkid within 90 days of the click.
Where does the Google Ads tag or the UET tag go?
In the page's Custom Code, inside the head, or once in the domain's Global Scripts so every page on it carries the tag; republish pages that are already live. A quiz fires an ll-quiz-submit browser event when it's sent, so your conversion can fire at that moment. Google Analytics 4 connects with your Measurement ID. LanderLab also counts form submits, link clicks or a button's clicks as conversions in its own analytics.
Do I have to edit my ads to test a new page?
No. In A/B Test mode the variants share the page's URL. You set the weights (100 and 100 is a 50/50 split), read visits, leads and conversions per variant, and Set as Main sends all the traffic to the winner. A/B testing is on Grow and up.
Should my paid landing pages be indexed?
Usually not. Turn on Disable Indexing for a domain you use only for paid traffic and every page on it gets a noindex tag. Publish on your own domain too: Google disapproves ads whose display URL domain doesn't match the final URL. Custom domains come with SSL on every plan, from one on Free to 125 on Enterprise.
How fast are the pages?
Pages are served over SSL and a CDN, images are converted to WebP by default, and Compress Images shrinks the ones on an imported page in one click. Check your own pages in Google's PageSpeed Insights before you spend on them.
Can I bring over the landing pages I run today?
Yes. Import them from their URL or as a .zip, then use Replace Links to point every button at your new destination, hidden links included. Pages from any builder import, WordPress included. Or paste one above and we move it for you.
Give every ad group its own page. And every lead its gclid.
