Pipedream integration

No-code tools stall at the first odd buyer spec or dedupe rule. Send every lead to a Pipedream workflow and handle it in real code, with prebuilt actions for the easy parts.

Why connect it

Why Pipedream and LanderLab

  • Real code in every step

Write Node.js or Python steps to clean, score, enrich or dedupe each lead, beside prebuilt actions for common apps.

  • Token-protected endpoints

Pipedream's HTTP trigger can require a token, and LanderLab sends it as a header with every lead.

  • Inspect every lead that arrives

Each request appears as an event you can open, with the full body, so debugging a buyer's rejection starts from the real data.

  • Attribution in the payload

The page URL, A/B variant, submission time and your UTMs arrive with the form fields, ready for your code to use.

  • No server to run

Pipedream hosts the code. You get a developer's control without maintaining infrastructure for it.

Pipedream on your landing pages

Pipedream is for the lead flows that need a developer's hands: normalize a phone number to E.164 before a buyer rejects it, dedupe against yesterday's leads, call an internal pricing service, then hand off to a prebuilt action for the CRM. Every lead from a LanderLab page can start one of those workflows.

A Pipedream HTTP trigger gives the workflow its own endpoint, and the page's Webhook integration posts each lead to it. Pipedream can require a bearer token on that endpoint, and LanderLab sends custom headers, so the workflow only runs for your pages.

A Pipedream workflow that starts on every lead

Pipedream gives each workflow an endpoint, and LanderLab posts each lead there as JSON, with the keys you chose and LanderLab's own fields beside the form's. Pipedream answers with a 200 OK by default, and the lead's body is available to every step that follows.

Code where the no-code tools stop

Lead gen is full of small, specific rules that no-code tools turn into ten-step workarounds: format the phone the way this buyer insists, drop leads from a ZIP list, hash an email before it goes to an ad platform, look the lead up in your database. In Pipedream each of those is a few lines in a step, next to prebuilt actions for the CRM or the sheet.

Your code sees the same fields your buyers do, including the visitor IP, the user agent and the submission time, so compliance checks and dedupe rules can live in the same workflow as the delivery.

Debug from the actual lead

When a buyer says a lead was malformed, you don't want a guess. Pipedream keeps each incoming request as an event you can open, so you can see exactly what LanderLab sent and what each step did with it, then fix the step and move on. LanderLab keeps its own copy of the lead in the Leads tab, so a broken step doesn't cost you the lead.

Pipedream next to LanderLab Workflows (beta)

LanderLab's Workflows (beta) already handles plain routing: Filter, If and Switch nodes, a Delay, and actions for common tools and HTTP requests, with a Runs view per lead. Reach for Pipedream when a step needs real logic that no node offers: a lookup in your own database, a hash, a calculation, a call to an internal service.

Use cases

Ways to use Pipedream on paid traffic

  • 01

A buyer spec with odd rules

A Medicare lead buyer wants phone numbers in one format, dates in another and a hashed email. A Pipedream step reshapes each lead from the quiz before posting it to their endpoint.

  • 02

    Dedupe before you pay twice

A debt relief advertorial funnel sends each lead to Pipedream, which checks the phone against the last 30 days of leads in a data store and only forwards new ones to the buyer.

  • 03

Ecommerce quiz to a custom stack

A product-match quiz on Taboola traffic sends answers to Pipedream, which tags the shopper in the email platform and writes the result to the brand's warehouse.

Pipedream and LanderLab

Is Pipedream worth connecting to my landing pages?

When your lead flow needs code, such as custom formatting, dedupe or lookups, yes. For a straight hand-off to one tool, a direct integration or webhook is simpler.

Does LanderLab integrate with Pipedream?

Yes, through the page's Webhook integration: it posts each lead to a Pipedream HTTP trigger, which starts the workflow.

Can I secure the Pipedream endpoint?

Yes. Pipedream's HTTP trigger can require a bearer token, and LanderLab's webhook can send it as a header with every lead.

Will Pipedream see my UTMs and the A/B variant?

Yes. The UTMs, the click ID, the page URL, the variant ID and the submission time all arrive in the request body, where any step's code can read them.

Can I send quiz answers to Pipedream?

Yes. Every quiz answer is a field in the body, under the key name you choose.

Do I need to be a developer to use Pipedream?

Not for its prebuilt actions, but Pipedream pays off when someone on the team can write a few lines of Node.js or Python. Without that, Make or Zapier is a better fit.
