Campaign Monitor integration

Leads that wait for an export go cold before the first email. LanderLab adds each one to your Campaign Monitor list the moment the form is sent, with the page and variant on the subscriber.

Why connect it

Why Campaign Monitor and LanderLab

  • Subscribers in real time, not at day's end

Each submit joins the list as it happens, so a journey triggered when someone joins the list sends the first email while the ad is still fresh.

  • Page and variant on every subscriber

LL Lander URL and LL Variant ID go to custom fields, so you can segment by page or by side of a split test.

  • Quiz answers ready for segments

ZIP, coverage, budget or timeline land in custom fields, so the next campaign can target the leads that matter.

  • Connected once, used on every page

The Campaign Monitor account is saved to your LanderLab account and reused across pages, so launching a new landing page doesn't mean setting up email again.

  • No duplicate subscribers

Campaign Monitor adds or updates subscribers by email, so a lead who comes back through a second ad updates the record already there.

Campaign Monitor on your landing pages

Campaign Monitor is where a lot of teams already send their branded email and run their journeys. What it doesn't do is build the pages your ads point to, or tell you which of those pages produced each subscriber. That gap is where paid leads go stale and attribution gets lost.

With LanderLab, each lead from your landing page or quiz joins the Campaign Monitor list you pick for that page, in real time, with the form's fields and LanderLab's own (the page URL and the A/B variant) in custom fields. Connect it once and it works on every page.

It suits lead gen teams nurturing quote requests, agencies running a client's email, and B2C brands turning ad clicks into subscribers for a welcome journey.

Campaign Monitor subscribers in real time

Each page sends its submits to the Campaign Monitor list you choose, with the email Campaign Monitor requires and any other field you want, and every lead reaches the list as a subscriber in real time. Fields you don't map aren't sent, so the list holds what you decided it should.

Which page and variant sent each subscriber

When several pages feed one list, you need to tell their leads apart. Map LL Lander URL and LL Variant ID to custom fields and every subscriber carries the page and the A/B variant that produced them. Build a segment on either field and you can email the leads from one page, or one side of a test, on their own.

Add hidden fields for utm_source and utm_campaign and the campaign rides along too, so a segment can show what a single ad set produced in opens and clicks.

A welcome journey that starts on the submit

Because the subscriber joins the list as the form is sent, a journey triggered when someone joins that list can send the first email while the visitor still remembers the ad. For a home insurance quote or a discount offer, those first minutes are when the open rate is highest.

If the list is set to double opt-in, Campaign Monitor sends its verification email first, which is worth knowing before you plan the timing of the journey.

Agencies: the client's list, filled by your pages

Build the client's landing pages in LanderLab and connect them to the client's own Campaign Monitor account. Their list fills with subscribers who carry the campaign and variant, so the monthly report comes straight from their own data, and nobody emails a spreadsheet.

Use cases

Ways to use Campaign Monitor on paid traffic

  • 01

Insurance quotes into a nurture list

A home insurance quiz on Google Ads adds each quote request to a Campaign Monitor list with ZIP and coverage in custom fields. A journey emails the comparison while a rep calls.

  • 02

    Agency client lists

An agency builds a client's pages in LanderLab and connects them to the client's Campaign Monitor. Each page feeds the right list, with the campaign on every subscriber for the monthly report.

  • 03

Ecom welcome series from paid social

A discount quiz on Meta adds subscribers to a welcome list. A segment on the variant field shows whether the 10% page or the free shipping page brought subscribers who open.
